The taxpayers who are not able to go to the income tax department to file their tax returns had an alternate option offered by the Income tax department. The taxpayers can file their tax return form online. The Income tax online filing website ClearTax announced the launch of their mobile application called the TaxCloud that has the similar functionalities that are found on the web portal. As there is an increase in the number of users using a smartphone, the online company planned to introduce the mobile app. The website portal was used by three lakh taxpayers in the year 2014-15 and around one million taxpayers used the web portal to file their income tax in 2015-16. In the online platform the taxpayer has to upload their Form-16 from the ClearTax will automatically prepare the income tax returns
Archit Gupta is the founder of ClearTax said that the mobile app will encourage the taxpayers to file the tax form as it is an effortless way to file the tax.

The mobile app is designed with offline sync, so the taxpayers can file the form offline and when there is internet connectivity, the information filled gets uploaded in the server.With the new mobile app is based on the cloud technology, the taxpayer can review their filing history, tax amount. When the users upload the Form-16, they can verify their refund details, rent status and can also calculate their taxes. The app mainly helps the accounting firms that help the individuals and entities to fill the tax form, and they have tie-ups with several banks and corporate firms in the country. The app is available in the Google Play store and the Android users can make use of it to fill the tax.
